Kayla Hayes DNP, PMHNP-BC

Hi! I am Kayla Hayes and I am a Doctor of Nursing Practice and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I obtained my Masters in Nursing and Doctorate at Vanderbilt University. I have experience and additional training in treating perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (think postpartum depression and anxiety). I specialize in working with women throughout all stages of adulthood (18 years old +) who are struggling with depression, anxiety, mood swings, obsessive thinking, and trauma. I also have experience working with women in all stages of recovery from substance use and eating disorders. I am a HAES (Health at Every Size) and LGBTQ+ affirming provider. My favorite part about my job is being able to help incredible women on their journey to healing and recovery!

Services & Fees

Telehealth and In-Person appointments available!

  • This initial evaluation is specifically tailored for pregnant or postpartum patients, as well as patients who are trying conceive. In this first appointment we will take a deep dive into your story, life experiences, and symptoms. We will discuss how I can partner with you on your perinatal journey and beyond.

    We will explore your options for treatment and discuss the risks and benefits of treatment during pregnancy and/or breastfeeding. Together, we will go over all of your questions and concerns, so that we can come up with a treatment plan that you feel comfortable with.

    90 minute appointment

    Fee: $ 350

  • The first appointment we will take a deep dive into your story, life experiences, and symptoms. We will discuss how I can partner with you on your journey to recovery and wellness. Based on this information and your goals, we will makes an individualized treatment plan and decide the best time for return visits.

    60 minute appointment

    Fee: $290

  • During these appointments, we will discuss how you are responding to treatment, if you are having any side effects, and any concerns that you may have. Together, we can make changes to the treatment plan if needed and schedule a next appointment based on your needs.

    30 Minute Appointment

    Fee: $150

  • Each follow-up visit will include brief supportive therapy, including emotional support, encouragement, and validation during life’s challenges and difficult times. This is already included the fee for follow-up visits.

  • Lab Testing can give us valuable insight into any nutrient deficiencies or hormone imbalances that could be contributing to your mental health. Genetic Testing (coming soon) can give us important information about how you metabolize medication and what medications you might tolerate best. Insurance may cover costs of lab testing.

Process

  • Free Phone Treatment Consultation

    A free 15 minute phone consultation to get to know each other and see if we are good fit!

  • Initial Evaluation

    During the first visit, we will go over your history, symptoms, and goals. Together, we will develop a individualized treatment plan to get you feeling better.

  • Follow-up Appointments

    Depending on progress, we will meet every 2-12 weeks.

Additional Information

  • Wildflower Psychiatry does not accept insurance at this time in order to provide the highest-quality of care. Many insurances will reimburse for out-of-network mental health care services. I am happy to provide a superbill of services if required by your insurance for reimbursement. Check with your insurance company to see if you are eligible for reimbursement prior to scheduling an appointment.

  • Credit card and HSA cards are accepted forms of payment.

  • I rarely prescribe benzodiazepines and usually recommend to avoid them if at all possible. I rarely initiate stimulants for adults and do not prescribe stimulants during pregnancy.

  • Wildflower Psychiatry practices in compliance with the “No Surprise Act.” A “Good Faith Estimate” will be provided upon request within three business days.
